New Students

All new degree-seeking or Tulane-sponsored students in J-1 status must complete the annual Tulane-sponsored Student Health Insurance Plan (T-SHIP) enrollment/waiver process prior to their program start date or first day of class, whichever occurs earlier, of their first semester at Tulane. A courtesy reminder with dates will be sent to your Tulane student email account.

Returning Students

All returning, degree-seeking students must complete the enrollment/waiver process annually by posted deadlines.*  A courtesy reminder with dates will be sent to your Tulane student email account.

*Failure to complete the waiver process by the posted deadlines will result in automatic enrollment in the T-SHIP, and the premium will be charged to the student's Accounts Receivable. Premiums collected are paid directly to the Insurance Company and are non-refundable after the waiver date.
