Waivers: Tulane has partnered with Gallagher Student Health & Special Risk to verify student coverage online. To demonstrate equivalent or better coverage to waive, please first review the benefits comparison and health insurance requirements. For further explanation, review the frequently asked questions.

Enrollment: The Tulane-sponsored Student Health Insurance Plan (T-SHIP) is provided in collaboration with United Healthcare Student Resources (UHCSR).

New Students: All new degree-seeking or Tulane-sponsored students in J-1 status must complete the annual Tulane-sponsored Student Health Insurance Plan (T-SHIP) enrollment/waiver process prior to their program start date or first day of class, whichever occurs earlier, of their first semester at Tulane. A courtesy reminder with dates will be sent to your Tulane student email account.

Returning Students: All returning, degree-seeking students must complete the enrollment/waiver process annually by posted deadlines.*  A courtesy reminder with dates will be sent to your Tulane student email account.

*Failure to complete the waiver process by the posted deadlines will result in automatic enrollment in the T-SHIP, and the premium will be charged to the student's Accounts Receivable. Premiums collected are paid directly to the Insurance Company and are non-refundable after the waiver date.
