Alicia K. Czachowski, EdD, MPH, CHES; has been working in health promotion in higher education for more than 15 years. Alicia's BA is in Public Justice from SUNY Oswego, MPH from Temple University, EdD in Adult and Higher Education from Northern Illinois University, and is a Certified Health Education Specialist. While much of her background focuses on substance abuse prevention, she also has extensive experience in mental health and well-being, stress management, sleep hygiene, sexual assault prevention, and assessment. Alicia has served on many American College Health Association committees and coalitions, including as the Chair for the Health Promotion Section. Alicia has been involved with the BACCHUS Initiatives of NASPA for many years first as a student member, and now as an advisor. Alicia has served as the Region II Consultant, and is a member of the Advisor Academy faculty. Finally, she has been an adjunct professor at the Murphy Institute, part of the City University of New York's School of Professional Studies, teaching Healthcare Policy Evaluation and Research Methods. Alicia's responsibilities include over site and leadership for The Well for Health Promotion and serving as part of the Campus Health Senior Leadership Team. She will provide strategic direction for our prevention initiatives, including alcohol and sexual violence efforts.
