Primary Care

The Health Center provides Primary Care services to undergraduate and graduate students at Tulane University. Services include routine, acute and chronic care management of medical issues to more complex health care issues. Our staff of Board Certified Doctors and Nurse Practitioners are sensitive to the needs of the diverse student population. 

Primary Care services available include the following:

  • Complete routine physical exam, travel physicals, and other problem-focused exams
  • Acute care needs including but not limited to:
    • Cough
    • Cold
    • Flu
    • Sore throat
    • Allergies
    • Allergic reactions
    • Mono
    • Other routine illnesses
  • Chronic care needs including but not limited to:
    • Diabetic management
    • Thyroid disorders
    • Asthma management
    • Referrals to community medical providers as indicated
    • Preventive care such as immunizations and cholesterol screening
  • Care for sports injuries including but not limited to:
    • Sprains
    • Strains
    • Concussions
    • Other minor sports injuries
  • Minor procedures such as suturing, foreign body removal, and wart treatments
  • Laboratory services
