Biography
Seth Savoie earned their B.S. in Psychology and M.S. in Applied Psychology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Seth is currently part of the predoctoral training program at the counseling center and is a doctoral student at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology at Xavier University of Louisiana where he also earned an M.A. in Clinical Psychology. His clinical training experiences have consisted of working with teens and adults in non-profit, community center, private practice, and college counseling centers.
Seth has a passion for contributing to the well-being of diverse communities, such as LGBTQ+, and for treating emotional and adjustment related problems such as depression, anxiety, and trauma. Seth enjoys taking a problem-solving approach to therapy and has a goal for each person they work with to leave sessions with increased ability to adjust to stressful moments in life. When not counseling students or working on his dissertation, Seth spends their time cooking Cajun recipes, thrift shopping, traveling, and spoiling his two cats.
