Access to health care and adequate health insurance are essential to your health, and to your ability to achieve your goals at Tulane.
That’s why Tulane requires all degree-seeking students and Tulane-sponsored students in J-1 status to maintain adequate, quality medical insurance – whether you enroll in the Tulane-sponsored Student Health Insurance Plan (T-SHIP) or have private insurance that is comparable or exceeds the T-SHIP coverage.
To ensure that all students have adequate coverage, students must either enroll in T-SHIP or complete the waiver process within the open enrollment period. Failure to do so will result in automatic enrollment in T-SHIP, and the premium will be charged to the student's account.
Please notify The Health Center of any changes in your health insurance coverage. Also, be sure to carry a copy of your insurance card with you.
All students who pay the Student Health and Wellness Fee have access to Campus Health services. This fee is collected with tuition and fees for most degree-seeking (full-time undergraduate, graduate and professional) students. All visits at The Health Center require the collection of co-pays, co-insurances, or deductibles at the time of visit.
