The undergraduate years in a student’s college experience is a time of rapid personal growth and self-discovery. Campus Health is here to support you in this exciting stage of life by providing access to high quality physical and mental health care services and engaging you in programs and initiatives that promote your overall health and well-being. Here are some of the many ways that Campus Health can enhance your student experience here at Tulane.
The Health Center provides medical treatment for illnesses and injuries and preventive care and health maintenance services to help you stay well. Our on-campus pharmacy provides a convenient location to access the medication and over-the-counter products you need.
Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS) offers an array of services, including individual therapy and group therapy, to help you develop skills to improve your mental health and overall well-being.
The Well for Health Promotion (The Well) provides resources, programs and services to help you make healthy choices throughout your college life. We focus on health topics relevant to the college experience including mental well-being, sexual health, sexual violence prevention, and alcohol, tobacco and other drugs.
The University requires students to provide proof of immunity for certain diseases and requires students to have adequate, quality health insurance. Campus Health is here to assist students seeking to maintain compliance with these University policies.
The Tulane Recovery Community provides recovery-based programs for students seeking support around substance use. Our community helps students develop a foundation for long-term recovery by providing a safe, non-judgmental environment of peer support.
If you need physical or mental health care services that fall outside the scope of what we offer, our trained professionals are familiar with appropriate community resources and can connect you to external providers who can meet your needs.
Campus Health advises three amazing departmental student organizations, the Tulane University Peer Health Educators (TUPHEs), Tulane Emergency Medical Services (Tulane EMS), and Sexual Aggression Peer Hotline and Education (SAPHE). The members of these organizations provide integral support to the Campus Health mission of advancing student health and well-being. Could membership in one of our student organizations be the right choice for you?
