Distance Learning Students

Access to Campus Health Services

Distance learning students are typically not automatically assessed the University's Campus Health Fee. Distance learning students who seek Campus Health services will be asked to pay the fee at the time of service.

Alternatively, students who are not automatically assessed the fee but need assistance locating external mental health services may contact the CAPS Care Coordinator. Care Coordination services are available to all Tulane students.

Health Insurance

Distance learning students are not required to take health insurance action. However, distance learning students may voluntarily enroll in the Tulane-sponsored Student Health Insurance Plan (T-SHIP) as long as they are enrolled in 3 credit hours or more.

If you are unsure of your eligibility, please contact our Insurance Team.
