Phone System Issue Affecting Call Transfers
The Health Centers for Student Care, both uptown and downtown, are currently experiencing technical difficulties with our phone system. While calls to our main number are still coming through, our staff members are temporarily unable to transfer calls or schedule appointments over the phone.

To schedule an appointment, please use one of the following options:

  1. Visit us in person during business hours (check in at the second-floor desk).
  2. Self-schedule through the Patient Portal.
  3. Email campushealth@tulane.edu for scheduling assistance.

We appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this issue.

NOTICE: The Pharmacy will CLOSE for lunch from 12:00-1:00pm on Monday, October 6, Tuesday, October 7, Thursday, October 9, and Friday, October 10.

Gynecological Services

Service Update

Due to staffing transitions, the following services are temporarily unavailable: IUD insertions/removals, Nexplanon insertions/removals. Students needing these services should first schedule an appointment with a Campus Health provider to obtain a referral to a community provider.

The following gynecological services remain available, though capacity may be limited: breast exams, gynecological exams, pap smears, STI testing/treatment, HPV vaccine, evaluation of gynecologic concerns (such as vaginitis, UTIs, pelvic pain, sexual concerns), contraception counseling, contraceptive injections (Depo-Provera), pregnancy testing, pregnancy options counseling, and emergency contraception prescriptions.

Appointments: Call 504-865-5255 or schedule through the Patient Portal.

Gynecological care is provided at the Health Center by experienced health care providers who are considerate of the sensitive nature of the visits.

Some patients with more complex gynecological concerns may be referred to an OB/GYN specialist in the New Orleans community. Prenatal care is provided off campus and covered by the Tulane-sponsored Student Health Insurance Plan.

To make an appointment call 504-865-5255 or schedule via the Patient Portal.
