Vaccines Needed to Achieve Immunization Compliance
The state of Louisiana and Tulane University require students to have proof of immunity for certain diseases. All students taking classes in person at Tulane University are required to provide proof of immunization compliance. Failure to meet these requirements will result in an enrollment hold being placed on your student account, which will bar you from dropping or adding classes.
Fortunately, the Health Center for Student Care offers all required vaccines. You can make an appointment to receive the following vaccines at our clinic:
- Measles, mumps, rubella vaccine (MMR)
- Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis (Tdap)
- Meningococcal ACWY
- Tuberculosis screening or testing
Other Vaccine Offerings
The Health Center for Student Care also offers vaccines against the following diseases:
- Influenza (flu)
- Meningitis B
- Hepatitis A
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
- Vaccines needed for international travel including:
- Japanese encephalitis (JE)
- IPV (polio)
- Rabies
- Yellow fever
- Typhoid
Please note that the COVID-19 vaccine is not currently offered at the Health Center for Student Care. Students are free to receive this vaccine at a local retail pharmacy, and no prescription is needed.
