Spring Break Lunch Closures at Uptown Facilities

From Monday, April 3 through Friday, April 7, all uptown Campus Health services will close daily for lunch from noon to 1 p.m.

Normal hours (services available through lunch) will resume Monday, April 10.

September 7th, or Sete de Setembro, is Brazilian Independence Day. Join Carolyn Barber-Pierre and Dr. Jinaki Flint for a Mindful Samba workshop, where we will learn and experience the traditional, high-energy Brazilian dance and explore our bodies’ physiological reactions to movement and music.

Join the Well for Health Promotion on April 18th, 2022 at 5 pm at Pocket Park for the #SeizeTheAwkward Open Mic Night! This open mic night aims to cultivate a community of support by sharing stories of resilience through art. The themes of this open mic are helping a friend in distress and bystander intervention. If you would like to submit an act, please visit bit.ly/TUOpenMic.Submissions are open to students of all backgrounds and identities who would like to use their art to heal and inspire others in their journeys.

Join the Well for Health Promotion and No More Tears for a Dine and Learn exploring the intersecting origins of racism and sexual violence in the U.S. and the Black femmes who started the Rape Crisis Movement to combat this violence. Dinner will be provided!

The first Tuesday of every April is SAAM Day of Action. The Day of Action is an opportunity to start off the month with highly visible and coordinated actions. Chances are someone in your life is a survivor of sexual assault, even if they have never shared their story with you. Show your support for survivors of sexual harassment by wearing teal - the color of sexual violence prevention - on April 5th and post a selfie to Instagram using #SAAM2022. By wearing teal, you are signaling that you support survivors and are a safe person to talk to if they need to reach out.

Swing by to grab some ice cream from Creole Creamery, SAAM swag, and information about preventing sexual violence on Tulane's campus and beyond!

Dive deep into sleep at Snooze Fest! Here at Tulane University on March 18th from 11-3 pm on McAllister. Snooze Fest is an opportunity to learn more about sleep through engaging activities and enter to win giveaway items like earplugs, white noise machines, and more!

According to the Spring 2021 National College Health Assessment, 25.7% of college students have reported that sleep difficulties negatively impact their academic performance. The Ready for Rest sleep challenge is a hands-on experience to learn about sleep in a way that works for you. Ready for Rest invites you to apply the sleep knowledge gained through the Invest in Rest sleep workshop to your own lives.
