Using the Tulane Telehealth website or app, eligible students can connect to a provider and get medical treatment, including prescriptions when necessary.

- Insect bites
- Joint aches
- Nausea
- Pinkeye
- Rashes
- Sinus infection

The Tulane Telehealth service is NOT FOR EMERGENCIES or conditions that require specialist or follow-up care.
Students should use their full legal name and tulane.edu email account when registering.

For times when the Student Health Center is full or closed, Tulane Telehealth gives eligible students an option to connect with a prescribing provider by video.
Students who have paid the Campus Health Fee for the semester have access to Tulane Telehealth and may use the service at no additional charge to the student. Students must be physically located in the state of Louisiana at the time of the telehealth visit.
Currently, students aged 18 and older may register for a Tulane Telehealth account. Students aged 17 and younger may use Tulane Telehealth, but they must register as an eligible student under a parent/guardian account. Tulane Telehealth providers can diagnose, recommend best treatment, and prescribe medications (if medically necessary) for many common conditions, including: allergies, asthma, bronchitis, cold, flu and cough, headache, insect bites, joint aches, nausea, pinkeye, rashes, sinus infection, sore throat, sprains and strains, UTI, and more!
Tulane Telehealth is not appropriate for those needing emergency care or those who are in danger of harming themselves or others. For crisis or emergency resources students should consult the Campus Health emergency resource page.
Tulane Telehealth providers cannot order COVID-19 testing or any in-person COVID-19 treatments, such as infusions. Providers can advise on or prescribe symptomatic treatment for COVID+ patients when appropriate or advise on elevated care. Students should always follow the latest University guidelines in dealing with COVID-19 infection and reporting.
Symptomatic COVID-19 testing is available on campus via Campus Health. To access this testing, call 504-865-5255 to request an appointment with a Campus Health provider.
The Tulane University Medical Group (TUMG) is a separate entity from Campus Health. TUMG is the provider practice group affiliated with the Tulane Hospital system and Tulane Doctors Clinics. Tulane Telehealth care is delivered by TUMG providers and affiliated community providers. Through this partnership, student visit notes will be available to Campus Health providers for care coordination and student health record completeness.
Tulane Telehealth connects students to licensed providers from the TUMG provider network and affiliated community providers. Our providers can diagnose, treat, and prescribe medication for your non-emergency conditions.
Setting up your account is a quick and easy process. Visit the Tulane Telehealth website or download the mobile app and click Register Your Account. You will be guided through step-by-step instructions. Be sure to select the Tulane Student button and use your tulane.edu email address.
Simply log into your account through the Tulane Telehealth website or mobile app and click Request a Visit.
No. Tulane Telehealth on-demand providers do not replace your primary care doctor. Tulane Telehealth is here when you need immediate care for non-emergent medical issues.
On-demand visit requests are typically answered in 30 minutes or less – all while waiting in the comfort of your own space. Upon requesting a visit, you will be placed into our virtual waiting room until the next available provider answers. Make sure you allow notifications from the app, so you don’t miss when your provider is ready for you. Please do not cancel and re-request visits in an attempt to expedite wait times. Providers will answer on a first-come, first-served basis.
The app will notify you when the provider is ready to see you. If you miss your visit, you will be returned to the end of the queue. The visit request will be cancelled if you miss the provider’s repeated attempts to connect with you. Be sure your mobile number is up to date in case the provider needs to contact you by phone.
There is no time limit for virtual visits with a provider.
Yes. Providers can prescribe short-term medication for a wide range of conditions where medically appropriate. Tulane Telehealth providers do not prescribe substances controlled by the DEA, non-therapeutic and/or certain other drugs which may be harmful because of their potential abuse.
Yes. You have access to your Tulane Telehealth visit record at any time. Log into your account and view your visit history to download a copy of your visit information.
Tulane Telehealth is fully HIPAA compliant and secure. You can be assured that your conversations with the clinician and your records are secure and private.
No. Tulane Telehealth passwords are exclusive to the TUMG platform and are not single sign on (SSO) passwords. Visit the Tulane Telehealth website or mobile app to manage your password.
