This page provides information about various treatment options for individuals seeking help with mental health concerns, alcohol/substance use disorders, and/or eating concerns. While this list is not exhaustive, it includes some treatment centers that Tulane students have attended.

Local Treatment

Imagine Recovery

  • Imagine Recovery offers services for alcohol/substance use disorders, dual diagnosis (an alcohol/substance use disorder with at least one mental health condition) and mental health disorders.
  • Imagine Recovery offers outpatient care and transitional living.
    • They offer a partial hospitalization program (PHP), intensive outpatient program (IOP), outpatient program (OP), outpatient program plus (OP Plus), and sober living homes for men and women.

On-Campus Support

Tulane Campus Health Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS) (Uptown & Downtown)

CAPS can help support students in recovery from substance use disorders and/or who identify as having a problematic relationship with alcohol and/or other substances. Students can make an appointment for individual therapy with a specialized staff therapist, or they can visit the care coordinator who can assist them with identifying additional clinicians or facilities in the New Orleans community.

Uptown Counseling Center (Uptown)

The Uptown Counseling Center (UCC) provides individual, couples, and family therapy for those suffering from eating concerns, substance use disorders, depression, and anxiety.
