How to Make a Travel Health Appointment

Please note that the procedure for making a travel health appointment is different from a making a primary care appointment at the Health Center. You will not make this appointment via the Patient Portal.

We recommend that you make a Travel Health appointment 3 to 4 months prior to international travel.

  • Log in to the Patient Portal and click on the Forms link.
  • Access the Travel Clinic Screening form under the Travel Forms heading. Fill out the form and submit.
  • A nurse will review your travel plans and contact you to make an appointment at the Health Center. This may come in the form of a phone call or a secure message. Be sure to monitor your email, so you don't miss any messages.

Travel Health Appointment Cost

The cost of the office visit is $100, but this cost is fully covered by the Tulane-sponsored Student Health Insurance Plan (T-SHIP). If you don't have T-SHIP, check with your health insurance provider to find out your out of pocket cost.

Immunizations (as needed) are also billable. Check with your insurance to find out your out of pocket cost for immunizations.
