Campus Health Winter Recess Closure (Dec. 24–Jan. 4)

Tulane University Campus Health is closed for winter recess from December 24 through January 4 and will reopen for normal operations on January 5. The following resources are available while we’re closed.

  • 24/7 Virtual Urgent Care (LA only): Tulane Telehealth is available at no additional cost to students who have paid the Campus Health Fee. Students must be physically located in Louisiana to use Tulane Telehealth. Learn more: campushealth.tulane.edu/tulane-telehealth

Getting Started with CAPS

Initial Consultations

Your first visit with CAPS will be a consultation session during which a CAPS clinician will assist you in getting connected with the appropriate services that can address your presenting concerns. Here is what to expect:

  • All initial consultations are scheduled on a same-day basis. Appointments for the day open up at 9 a.m.
  • Schedule your appointment for that day by calling CAPS at 504-314-2277 during business hours.
  • When scheduling your appointment, indicate your preference for either an in-person or virtual meeting.
  • Once your appointment is scheduled, you will be asked to complete some paperwork ahead of time in the Patient Portal
  • Virtual consultations will be conducted via Healthcare Zoom, which has higher privacy protection than regular Zoom. The Zoom link for the session will be available on the Patient Portal when you check in to your appointment.
  • You will also need to check in for your session 20 minutes prior to start time to complete the paperwork.
